Pearl is the first official "flanker" in the Ikiryo catalog.  It is a floral beauty with a scent that transports one to a June day at the Monterey Pop Festival on the the cusp of summer when a Texas girl who greatly worshipped Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Otis Redding dominated the day's festivities with her riviting performance.  A performance which thrust her like a comet to the top of the music world where she would become known as "the First Lady of Rock".  "Pearl" is an ode to the great Janis Joplin.
